I have collected classic women's issues films all of my adult life. I am not a female but it seems to me that this film isn't too bad in helping girls understand bodily changes. You can see many other clips from my collection of 1950s educational films on this, my YouTube channel.

I made this television commercial for United Technologies a while ago but the technology hasn't changed that much. It was very exciting to fly with these crazies into the biggest storms they could find. I photographed this using 16mm–my favorite technology back in the “old days.”

This is a clip from Ernie Pintoff's experimental documentary feature film, Dynamite Chicken starring Richard Pryor. Fast food was new back then and Burger King's Whopper had just been released. I can't say that it's terrific moviemaking but I put it on my channel as a piece of American fast food history.

I as part of grew up in Levittown Long Island and we had these shingles on our house and display them proudly. I wonder if the company knew what asbestos was doing to people back then? I collected this and so many other old movies that commented on the 1950s and 1960s when I grew up. I used elements of these in my PBS primetime television series, making Sense Of The Sixties.

I have collected old movies and footage like this since I was a young filmmaker getting my masters mostly from The National Archives when it wasn't so bureaucratic to do so.
